Mr. Payne has been the CEO from the commencement of operations in 2002. He holds an MBA from Rice Univ. and a BBA from Texas A&M and has 30 years of progressively senior management experience, the last 15 in life sciences.

David Anderson

Mr. Anderson is a senior advisor to and investor in NBI. Formerly COO of Tanox, he has extensive life science management and business development experience.

Mr. Zimmerman is an active investor in life science ventures.

Jennifer West, Ph.D.
Principal Scientific Officer. Professor, Rice University
Dr. West serves as the acting Chief Scientific Officer for NBI. She is the founding scientist and co-inventor of the cancer application. She is directly involved in NBI's research and also leads independent research at Rice, with collaborations at Baylor, MD Anderson and other institutions.

Dan Watkins, Ph.D.
Managing Director, DFJ Mercury Fund
Dr. Watkins is an entrepreneur, venture capitalist and founder of NBI.
