Career Opportunities

Lead Research Scientist

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Research  and develop a cancer therapy product using optically active nanoparticles for human use under FDA regulations;
  • Engage in laboratory research, technical writing, and regulatory review;
  • Design research tools and techniques for medical applications, including the use of advanced optical and biological characterization methods;
  • Follow strict safety procedures when handling toxic materials to avoid contamination;
  • Keep detailed written records and follow written protocols for further commercialization;
  • Prepare and analyze nanoparticle samples to identify toxicity and chemical, optical, or biological factors that may affect human safety or product performance in a human clinical trial;
  • Standardize procedures for compound manufacturing;
  • Confer with industry personnel and others to maintain health, safety, and quality assurance standards;
  • Train new employees in manufacturing processes;
  • Manage team (3-4) of Research Scientists in R&D and Manufacturing Activities;
  • Manage lab maintenance schedules to conform with ISO and cGMP;
  • Report to Director of Manufacturing or Chief Operating Officer.

Minimum Requirements for Position:

  • Master’s degree in Chemistry, Physics or Bioengineering; plus
  • 4 years of experience in nanoparticle synthesis and medical device manufacturing, including demonstrated experience with ISO 13485 and cGMP.
